Euphoria Lifestyle – The New Shape for 2013

10/04/2013 by

For 2013 we have made some exciting changes to our business model.  Our aim is to strengthen our presence in London and the South East and provide you, a valued customer, with a much improved experience.

With effect from 1st March 2013 we have closed our Wallington showroom at Woodcote Green Garden Centre and transfered all display stock to our long established Washington, West Sussex showroom (which is only 30 minutes from London Gatwick Airport).  This allows us to offer a greater client experience by displaying a much more comprehensive range of Jacuzzi® hot tubs and Helo saunas at one larger branch, combined with the private wet-test area for both new and upgrading customers to come along with family or friends and experience our wellness products in comfort and peace.

For customers wanting to buy water treatment products, spares and accessories we will be delighted to welcome you to our Washington branch, open seven days a week! For customers for whom the journey may be too long, please take advantage of our online store www.jacuzzidirect.co.uk which offers all the aftermarket products we currently sell in-store.

As a direct result of relinquishing the operational commitments of staffing the showroom at Wallington seven days a week, our “field” sales and marketing activities in London and the South East have been significantly boosted. We offer a home delivery service for clients wanting a more personal service from Euphoria Lifestyle – we can easily add you to our monthly call rota – please ask for details. Of course during home visits we can discuss water treatment regimes, spa maintenance etc., as well as any contract maintenance programmes you may wish to take up (water changes, annual service, and winterisation). You will also have seven day telephone and email support at your fingertips.  Please call us on Freephone 0800 023 2215 for assistance.

For new customers in the London area we are also delighted to offer daytime, evening or weekend home visits to present our product range and extend a meet & greet service to take clients to our Sussex show centre, or alternatively reimburse fuel costs for those customers wishing to travel independently. Both Mike and Sara will continue to be active in London, Surrey and Sussex and will be working in close partnership with Jacuzzi UK and Helo UK to continue to grow sales in the region. We are
extremely confident that this restructure is a very positive step for our business and accurately reflects current consumer demand. Euphoria Lifestyle continues to gain many new customers from referrals and recommendations from existing customers,

We continue to assure you of our best attention at all times.  Please see our commitment statement for further information on our honesty and integrity values.

Always buy a Jacuzzi hot tub from a BISHTA member…

14th March 2013

BISHTA MD Chris Hayes comments on the report following the

Legionnaires Disease outbreak in Stoke-On-Trent

BISHTA sends its condolences to the family of the two people that died and to the other 19 victims of this Legionnaires’ Disease outbreak last year.  The report that has recently been produced by the Health Protection Agency on the outbreak, outlines the need to follow the existing guidelines that are available in the industry and BISHTA wholeheartedly supports and promotes this advice.

The guidelines are contained within a range of publications, such as ‘Management of Spa Pools – Controlling the Risk of Infection’ and also ‘Legionnaires’ Disease – The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems – Approved Code of Practice and Guidance (This HSE Code of Practice is also referred to as “L8”.  Every Hot Tub business site should have a copy of these publications.  Businesses with premises that sell Hot Tubs should also carry out a Risk Assessment, in accordance with BS 8580, which should be reviewed annually.

BISHTA is a Trade Association for the Spa and Hot Tub industry in the British Isles and it was formed in 2001 following the outbreak of Legionnaires’ Disease in Belgium and the Netherlands in 1999 that killed a number of people visiting flower shows.  These shows had Hot Tubs on display (filled with water, but not treated with chlorine).  BISHTA is the only Trade Association anywhere in Europe dedicated to solely representing the Spa and Hot Tub Industry, with published Standards.

In 2006, BISHTA was invited to be part of a committee that wrote the HSE/HPA’s ‘Management of Spa Pools’ (controlling the risk of infection) publication.   When the guidelines in this publication are followed, these simple, but effective rules prevent the tragic circumstances seen in Staffordshire.  There has never been an outbreak of Legionnaires’ Disease in a BISHTA members’ showroom.

The key message from BISHTA since its formation has always been “Promoting Safe Spa Water”. By providing water hygiene management training, both BISHTA and its Members can ensure that the rest of the industry is aware of their responsibilities for maintaining Hot Tub water, with an appropriate level of sanitiser (bromine, chlorine or PHMB) to reduce to a minimum, the risk of having the legionella bacteria developing into Legionnaires Disease.  BISHTA’s Managing Director, Chris Hayes said:

“BISHTA estimates there are at least 80,000 Hot Tubs and Swim Spas in the British Isles and given the isolated number of issues each year, this demonstrates that by following the simple rules needed for water hygiene management that Hot Tubs can be very safe to maintain and use”.

It is vital that companies selling Hot Tubs follow the advice of the Health Protection Agency and the Health and Safety Executive to ensure that Hot Tubs in showrooms and at Exhibitions/ Shows are adequately maintained.   Businesses with premises that sell Hot Tubs should also carry out a Risk Assessment, in accordance with BS 8580, which should be reviewed annually.

BISHTA provides advice on water hygiene management to its 110 members around Britain and Ireland and expects them to abide by a Code of Ethics for responsible trading.  Staff

should be vigilant about their personal health and should inform colleagues and family of the symptoms, in case they become unwell.

Through the vigilance of BISHTA and its members, customers can be sure that they are receiving the correct advice on how to safely maintain their Hot Tubs and Swim Spas to get maximum enjoyment.  BISHTA would strongly urge customers to seek advice from their members, as they will be suitably trained in water hygiene management.

Medicine and wellbeing: the foundation of the Jacuzzi® brand experience

24/11/2012 by

A hot tub hydromassage must offer jets of the right size for each muscular group and of the most suitable intensity. All the Jacuzzi® PowerPro® jets installed on Jacuzzi® hot tubs have been designed to direct the water flow with great precision. The water flow pressure can be transferred form one seat to another and the hydromassage jets can be turned off independently in every seat. The jets of Jacuzzi® hot tubs have been specially designed with an external / internal movement so that the rotating water jets produce a circular movement comparable with hands massaging the back. The therapeutic properties of hot water in a hot tub are valid for any type of body frame, size and level of stress. Some people need a vigorous jet in order to loosen the knots in the muscle mass. Others simply need to be lulled by hot and soothing water, thereby refreshing their minds and relaxing the body.

Image
Hydromassage produces significant effects in treating pathologies linked to problems of blood circulation in the legs e.g. varices, saphenectomy outcomes [excision of varicose veins], post-phlebitic [chronic venous syndromes]; and also in the cause of osteoarthrtitis, chronic extra-articular inflammatory rheumatism, outcomes of trauma or surgery and oedemas. Baleneotherapy [the treatment of disease by bathing] in particular through hydromassage is useful in the cure of venous diseases. Baths with hydromassage are also a valued remedy for chronic rheumatism and fibromyalgia in general. It is also indicated for chronic bronchitis, nephritis, menstrual pains, gastric and intestinal disorders and as a palliative measure for gall stones and kidney stones.

The Benefits of Water Therapy: Why it Works

14/11/2012 by

Image

Massage alone is proven to reduce stress, calm anxiety, enhance sleep quality and improve concentration; as well as aiding in other physiotherapy and recovery programmes. Hydrotherapy massage is not an alternative for medical massage treatments, but it is easily carried out at home and can be used to support a healthy active lifestyle.

Hydrotherapy uses the natural properties of water and applied temperature and/or pressure to stimulate positive effects on the body such as increased blood circulation, muscle relaxation and waste elimination (detoxification). Applying heat is known to relax muscles and cause sweating, which releases toxins. Warm water is used in physiotherapy to speed recovery from injuries and relieve muscle soreness. You could consider heat to be the active agent in hydrotherapy and the water as a vehicle for application.

The main benefits of having a regular hydrotherapy massage at home are all about pampering yourself. It marks those moments when you get some peace and quiet, or those relaxing times you can enjoy with your family, catching up about the day. Sitting in your Jacuzzi whirlpool bath or hot tub is a personal treat that makes you feel even more special because you’re enjoying a past time that’s good for your body. Make a hydrotherapy massage part of your day.

However you enjoy your hydrotherapy massage, you can relax knowing that you’re helping your body recover from the day. You may also benefit from some of the following too:

  • Pain relief
  • Better circulation and blood supply to internal organs
  • Boosting your immune system
  • A break from stress
  • A healthier complexion
  • Deeper sleep

Jacuzzi Hot Tubs Stolen from Euphoria Lifestyle / Squire’s Washington Garden Centre

11/07/2012 by

We are devastated to report that two Jacuzzi J-335 IP hot tubs were stolen from our secure storage yard at Squire’s Washington Garden Centre in the early hours of Wednesday 11th July 2012.  The hot tubs were brand new and in their original white packaging, with the distinctive blue “Jacuzzi” logo printed all across the packaging.

Jacuzzi Hot Tub in Factory Packaging

Each hot tub is worth £10,000.  One is platinum (white marbled effect) shell with driftwood grey cabinetry, [serial number 100420720]  the other opal shell with roasted chestnut cabinetry [serial number 100425540].  These hot tubs are large items 7ft x 7ft x 3ft deep (213 x 213 x 91cm) and are heavy bulky items (368kg) therefore not easily moved or disguised.

We would ask anybody who has seen anything to call our showroom on 01903 892 555 or speak with Sussex Police.  Please be vigilant and help us find these items.  We have two customers eagerly awaiting delivery of their dream hot tubs this week.  A reward is offered information leading to their safe return.  Thank you in advance, your help is most appreciated.

Hot Tubs & Hosepipe Bans – good news for hot tub owners!

20/05/2012 by

BISHTA advises its members that during a Temporary Water Use Ban (TUB) that Hot Tubs can continue to be filled / topped up with a hosepipe. This information is included in a joint statement finalised with Water UK and the Water Companies. The full version of the joint statement is to be found here on our main website

Important Information Regarding Hot Tubs and Hosepipe Bans (Temporary Water Use Ban)

17/03/2012 by

There has been some confusion caused by the latest Temporary Water Use Ban to come into effect on the 5th April 2012.  Our UK Trade Association BISHTA (British & Irish Spa & Hot Tub Association) along with the British Swimming Pool Federation have been liaising with DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) to ensure that the situation is cleared up efficiently.

Some water companies have misinterpreted the legislation and have been issuing factually incorrect information to the wet leisure industry.

BISHTA can now advise that during a Temporary Water Use Ban that hot tubs can continue to be filled with a hosepipe:

Hot Tub Filters – Changed Yours Recently?

03/03/2012 by

Why You Should Use Only Genuine Jacuzzi® Hot Tub Filters

Hot Tub Filters: All filtration systems are not the same. Neither are all filters. Don’t be fooled by “generic replacement filters” or “imitations” instead of genuine Jacuzzi Hot Tub filters. Non-genuine hot tub filters may be less expensive, but using them could prove to be very costly to you in terms of performance and overall value. Using non-genuine Jacuzzi hot tub filters may also invalidate your warranty.  Filters should be replaced (according to BISHTA UK regulations) every 12 months.  Having a spare set on hand is also useful as filter cartridges which are allowed to fully dry between uses helps kill bacteria.

Your Jacuzzi Hot Tub is an investment, and like any investment, proper and regular maintenance of your hot tub will help it retain its beauty and performance. Euphoria Lifestyle, your local authorised Jacuzzi Hot Tubs dealer can supply you with all of the information and water treatment supplies you need
